PARCC testing schedule Dear RPEMS family: The first part of the new state test in English Language Arts and Mathematics, called “PARCC,” will be administered to students in grades 3 to 11 from March 4 to April 1. The schedule, which indicates your child’s testing days, is attached. More information about PARCC is available on City Schools’ website at www.baltimor... and our school website at www.baltimor.... Results from this year’s assessments are not expected until next school year, in late fall or early winter. In the future, results will be available much more quickly so that teachers, parents, and schools have information to use in to supporting students and helping them stay on track to graduate high school ready for success in college or a career. As for all testing days, please make sure your child is well rested and eats a good breakfast (or arrives at school in time to eat breakfast at school), in order to perform as well as possible on the test. And please let me know if you have any additional questions. Sincerely, Nicholas D’Ambrosio Principal Roland Park Elementary/Middle School njdambrosio@... View File (APPLICATION/PDF)

Proposed 2014-15 PTA Budget Hi everyone, . Attached is the proposed budget that we would like for all our members to approve this evening at tonight's meeting. If you want a say in how the money we have raised and plan to raise, you must be a current member and be present to vote tonight at 7pm in the Multipurpose Room at school. If you have not paid your dues you can do so online on ClassroomParent or at the meeting this evening. If you plan to pay at the meeting, please arrive 10-15 minutes early as we will be starting the meeting promptly at 7pm in order to respect all speakers' and attendees' time. You DO NOT need to be a PTA member to attend tonight's informative meeting, only to vote on the attached budget. . On a side note, I got 4 replies to my email within 10 minutes of hitting send! So, the Marinellis, Doug Alexander, The Lewins, and Amy McCullough were swift in getting back to me so they will be getting a donation from me by weeks end! . Looking forward to seeing folks tonight! . Best, Trish Garcia Pilla RPEMS PTA President View File (FILE/.PNG)

Educational Websites for Families Here is the compilation of educational websites for families. Thank you to the parents and staff members who contributed to this initiative. The websites are grouped into three categories: websites suggested by City Schools (browse through content that the students would learn in each grade and check out the “Learning at Home Toolkit”), RPEMS websites (subscriptions or licenses offered to the students by the school), and general websites (suggested by parents, teachers, or in educational literature). Check out the resources, and you may find some tools to keep your digital natives reading, learning, and enjoying technology during summer. View File (FILE/.PNG)
