International Week, a special week for our students to appreciate international culture, is coming up in two weeks, the week of March 22. Each grade will visit the Global Village in the multipurpose room to check out the displays, enjoy a performance, and sample international food. As you can imagine, we need the help of many parents to make this event a success.
We are in special need of more cooks and bakers who wish to share their heritage by introducing our students to new foods. Each child who visits the Global Village will be offered several tastes of different foods. If you are able to cook or purchase some food, please contact Katy Couch at katy@katycouch.com for more details. If you do not want your child to taste the foods, please be sure you talk to their teacher.
We also are looking for volunteers who are available during school hours the week of March 22. Most duties will involve prepping and serving food to the children. If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail volunteercoordinator@rolandparkpublic.org
Also, tomorrow (Monday) is the last meeting for International Week preparation and planning in Ms. Grizzard's room, 188 in the back art wing. We will be meeting at 3pm to review our plans and progress. If you are interested and are able to attend, we'd love to see you.
Thank you,
Ms. Grizzard and the International Week committee
