March on Annapolis- MONDAY...Budget Review to be rescheduled

Good Afternoon RPEMS Community,

I'm writing to encourage our community to join teachers, parents, and City Schools on Monday, March 11th in the March on Annapolis.  In Dr. Santelises' letter on Friday she outlined the decades long underfunding of Baltimore City Schools.  We continue to feel that impact here at Roland Park each year as we face budget cuts each year.

This year are facing another budget gap of over $300,000. Monday I was to present the budget based on feedback and needs of the school.  In the presentation, we will be calling on our community to bridge this funding gap in partnership with the Annual Fund and PTA.  That makes Monday's march critical.  We cannot continue to be a school that meets the needs of every students without adequate funding.  We must call on our state government to fund Kirwan NOW. We must call on our state government to give Baltimore City Schools adequate funding.  This call to Annapolis is most important.

Here is the link to March for Our Schools: Please join us in Annapolis Monday at 6 pm.

I will send correspondence about the make up Budget review date in my Sunday communication. I want to be sure community members are able to attend this important budget meeting so that you may know how we have budgeted for the upcoming year and how we will be calling on your support to cover other needs.

Thank you all for the continued support and advocacy on behalf of our students.
